Cornell Museum- Plein Aire Cottage Artists

On Tuesday morning,Mary Rose and I, with our SUV loaded with paintings, we travelled from Indian Rocks Beach to Sarasota where we met up with Violetta and with her SUV loaded up with paintings we drove across Florida State, via the beautiful Everglades to the Atlantic Coast of Florida to Del Ray Beach and Cornell Museum.

A friendly, warm reception awaited us by the Museum Staff. Sixty six paintings were offloaded and transported to two galleries and the Atrium within Cornell Museum. The show will be hung, tagged and catalogued. The official opening is February 26th at 5.00 p.m. Cornell Museum occupies one square block in downtown Delray Beach. We were invited to the musical Cabaret, where we met the star Valerie Lemon and were hosted at a cocktail party.

Our accommodation was at Crane Beach Resort, a delightfully restored, beautifully landscaped Inn - we plan on painting this beautiful garden upon our return on February 26th.
