Martinis and Matisse Helen Tilston donates painting

Martinis and Matisse, an art lottery to benefit The Clearwater Free Clinic was once again a very memorable evening.The event as held at the Frank Crum Building in Clearwater. This fashionable event offered delicious food and over 100 pieces of donated art. A jazz band entertained us. Helen Tilston donated an original oil painting, on canvas, "Bring Me Back Yesterday". The painting was painted, en plein aire, in Ireland in 2008.

Martinis & Matisse Mary Rose Holmes donates painting

January 24th 2009 - the Frank Crum Building in Clearwater hosted Martinis to Matisse Art Lottery Plein Aire Cottage Artist Mary Rose Holmes, donated an original oil painting, painted en plein aire from her cottage porch on Indian Rocks Beach. The Painting was much in demand by collectors.

As in previous years, the Plein Aire Cottage Artists once again are donating a painting to be raffled. All proceeds benefit Action 2000. This year's painting will be the work of Artist Violetta and her painting is titled All You Need is Love Helen Tilston and Mary Rose Holmes have worked jointly in writing a peom to accompany the painting. Painting will be auctioned at Valentine's Dance, February 14 2009 at City Hall, Indian Rocks Beach. This sold out annual event is pure class. Guppy's Art Opening January 9, 2009

Save Our Cottages Series 6 opened with great applause on January 9th, 2009. Celebrities, Polititians, art collectors and friends assembled at this packed to the rafters opening. Triptych- History Making- Florida Artists

3 Frieds, 3 Views, l Vision. The Plein Aire Cottage Artists, Mary Rose Holmes, Violetta Shtymeyzen and Helen Tilston have been friends and art partners for the past eight years. Recently, they have created 10 new triptychs, one panel painted by each artist. The painting can be hung along as one motif or the panels can stand alone and be hung separately. At press time, no known artists/partners have created such triptychs.

The Plein Aire Cottage Artists had an exhaustive but exhillerating day. We hung 60 new paintings of Indian Rocks Beach at Guppy's. Opening is January 9th at 6:00 p.m. Clients may stop in for a sneak preview before the show. This is the most exciting exhibition ever held at Indian Rocks Beach. All original paintings, in oil, on canvas depict life on this little barrier island, where pelicans, dolphins and children swim in the same ocean.
