(Mother Teresa) The phone call came in late Summer, that "RCS Helps" has selected the artwork of the Plein Aire Cottage Artists for their 2011 Holiday fundraising card.  The Spiritual Yacht Basin Painting was selected. In 2007 the Plein Aire Cottage Artists were the featured artists and over $18,000.00 was raised.  We are again, hopeful, for another successful season. The Gift of Food is an all volunteer, student-led group that raises funds to buy food for the Religious Community Services (RCS) Food Bank . The RCS Food Bank feeds over 5,000 people in our area every month, with the majority of these being children. Each year, the money raised by The Gift of Food funds the RCS/Gift of Food Endowment Fund within the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, which, once fully funded, will provide money to buy food for the RCS Food Bank for many years to come. Matt and Mary Rose wanted a Florida theme for the baby's room and animals will feature prominently in the bed linen and accessories. Artist Mary Rose Holmes paints palms on nursery walls Artist Mary Rose Holmes was commissioned to paint palm trees.  The parents want the child to enjoy the room for many years and decor can be changed as the baby grows. Choosing Exterior Colour for where you live

Sarasota, Florida As colour consultants and plein air painters we are often asked:  "What colour should I paint my house?" "What are the latest colours?"  "I love the new beige and brown tones".  "My husband loved the colours of the buildings in Venice, Italy". " Green is the new colour  this year"  "My sister told me I should paint my house blue, sort of a robin's egg blue".  "So what colour do you think I should paint it"???? ." I only like neutrals"  etc.etc. and on and on it goes.
